Megan Baehrens, Development Coordinator

Megan Baehrens joined San Diego Coastkeeper in April 2009. In her role as Development Coordinator, she supports the organization’s array of programs and initiatives by generating funding through corporate and foundation relations, grant proposal and report writing, individual and major gifts, and Coastkeeper’s annual Ocean Gala.
Megan comes to Coastkeeper with grant writing, special events management, and finance and administration experience at Teach For America and the National Geographic Society. She completed a Masters in Business Administration with a focus on nonprofit management at the Yale School of Management in May 2008. A native San Diegan, Megan is happy to have found her way home and to an organization where she can bring together her strong belief in environmental stewardship with the sunny San Diego lifestyle.
